Armored Blox Weight Budget Checklist

A practical garage method — not a fake calculator app — so overload and EN greed do not delete your first escape.

Weight Budget Method

This Weight Budget page is a method, not a downloadable calculator. Armored Blox on Roblox (48devs BETA) lets you assemble AC-style kits where weight, generator headroom, and boost trust fight each other. When the garage flashes a warning, cosmetics can wait. Pair this ritual with the full Loadout checklist and synergy rules in Builds.

We will not invent precise kilogram tables the live client does not show you. We teach what to look at and what to cut.

Why weight budget wins in 2v2

Overweight ACs fail in predictable ways:

  • Escapes arrive late → you die on the whiff
  • Peels never reach your partner → duo collapses (Duo Roles)
  • “Light skirmisher” becomes a mid that lies to you (Loadouts)
  • Energy weapons look fine in the hangar and brown out mid-fight

BETA expansions make this worse: a new part can tip a previously legal kit into warning state overnight. Recheck after updates (BETA Status, Patch Notes).

How to read garage warnings

Treat any overload / overweight / cannot-equip style warning as a hard gate:

  1. Do not queue ranked ideas until it clears.
  2. Strip non-job parts first — decorative armor stacks, redundant ammo luxuries, “maybe useful” niche tools.
  3. Protect the job — if you are a controller, keep the pressure primary; if you are a finisher, keep the convert tool (Weapons).
  4. Re-test boost after every cut — a kit that is “legal” but feels stuck is still over budget for your hands.
  5. Screenshot or note the warning text when a patch introduces new wording so you can compare next week.

If the client offers a clear capacity readout, use it. If the BETA only gives soft feedback, use the movement smoke test below as your truth.

EN vs weight trade (the real budget)

Weight is only half the story. Generator / EN decides whether your legal frame can still:

  • Pulse boost twice in a trade
  • Fire an energy burst without deleting the escape
  • Peel across a lane when Callouts say so

Trade rules of thumb:

If you add…You must budget…
Heavier armor / frameMore honest legs and fewer greedy energy toys
Energy primaryKinetic backup or stricter boost discipline
Missile racksEN for locks and a reposition after they fire
Close-range finisherWeight for arrival speed, not just burst

A heavy anchor that cannot boost once after a trade is not an anchor — it is a statue (Frames). A light that overloaded into mid weight is not a skirmisher.

Practical weight-budget method (8 steps)

Run this before every serious session and after every expansion install:

  1. State the job in one line — controller, finisher, scout, or anchor.
  2. Open the comfort kit you actually queue (not the meme copy).
  3. Note warnings — any red/yellow capacity signal is step-zero debt.
  4. Cut cosmetics and duplicate niches until warnings clear.
  5. EN pulse test — in garage preview or first safe moment in a match: boost strafe → stop → fire primary → boost again. If the second boost is fiction, cut energy greed or weight.
  6. Role fit check — does this weight class still match the job you told your duo?
  7. Partner overlap check — two overweight finishers is a peel vacuum.
  8. Lock and queue only when steps 3–7 pass — then run the wider Loadout checklist.

Total time: a few minutes. Cheaper than two free losses.

Pre-queue budget pass (card you can memorize)

  • No overload warning
  • Second boost still exists after a primary burst
  • Frame class matches the archetype you claim
  • Convert or pressure tool still present after cuts
  • Mobile layout not covering movement inputs (Mobile tips)
  • Duo knows your job (Players Hub)
  • You skimmed whether today’s patch touched assembly (Updates)

Print it mentally. Do not wait for a third-party “optimizer” APK.

What to cut first (priority order)

  1. Pure cosmetics that add mass
  2. Third utility that clones a job your partner already covers
  3. Energy luxury on a kit that already struggles to escape
  4. Experimental expansion parts that have not earned a win
  5. Only then touch your primary identity weapon — and replace with a same-job alternative from Builds

Never cut your only convert tool and your only escape in the same panic edit.

After a losing streak

Do not rebuild the entire hangar. Re-run the 8-step method, change one failed budget item, and play two learning matches. If you are blaming matchmaking while ignoring a permanent warning icon, the garage is the real opponent.

Tools we will not fake

This page will not ship:

  • Browser calculators with fabricated part weights
  • Spreadsheet “official” AP values invented for SEO
  • Executor packs rebranded as weight helpers (Scripts)

When the live game exposes clearer numbers, the method still applies — you just fill in better readouts.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Armored Blox pilots.

Is this an in-game weight calculator?

No. It is a wiki checklist and method you apply in the Armored Blox garage. We do not distribute fake calculator apps.

What do I do when I see an overload warning?

Treat it as a hard gate. Strip cosmetics and niche extras first, protect your role tool, then re-test a second boost before queueing.

How does EN relate to weight budget?

Legal weight with a greedy generator still fails mid-fight. Budget for a boost after your primary burst, not only for a green garage light.

How often should I run the weight-budget pass?

Before every serious session and after any expansion, assembly, or patch that might change part costs.

What should I cut first on an overweight finisher?

Cosmetics and duplicate utilities. Keep the convert tool and enough mobility to arrive and leave. Replace experimental parts before gutting identity.

Where do I go after the budget is clean?

Run the full Loadout checklist, confirm duo roles, then queue. Use Builds if the kit still lacks synergy.
